If there’s one thing that I’ve been reminded of in a big way this year Reader...

It’s that growth is limited by ego, lack of community, and a failure to build adequate systems to support your goals.

This is the same in business and also in our personal lives.

We often feel that systems, rules, and processes constrain us but I’m constantly reminded that the opposite is in fact true.

Systems have the potential to liberate and free us, especially when you combine that with the right community filled with people who have aligned values as you.

I agree with Tara, 2020 has been a significant year and definitely one worth taking a look back to answer “who have I become? what’s different about how I view life and goals?”


Parting Thoughts

This week we lost an entrepreneurial great and one of my personal heroes - Tony Hsieh, the former CEO of Zappos and author of Delivering Happiness.

If you’ve never read that book I highly recommend you do so. It has forever changed the way that I view company culture and how treating your customers right can dramatically impact your profit and your impact as a company.
